This episode is composer-focused, we only play tracks originally composed by Namco alumni Junko Ozawa. Her work ranges from Namco arcade classics like Rolling Thunder and PacMania, all the way to Klonoa for the Playstation. There’s old and new classics to be found in this episode, so grab your headphones and get into it!

This week we focus on the small-ish library of role playing games for the Sega Dreamcast. The Sega Dreamcast is a very special system for both of us. It had some great games, but they were also taking risks with some crazy ones. It was also the system that was around just as the arcades started disappearing, so it makes the Dreamcast arcade-ports that much more important. This episode runs a little bit longer because we have so many personal stories about the system, games, and of course, the music.
Happy podcastiversary! Put on your best clothes and grab your party hat, let’s celebrate in style! This week we look back at some great episodes, and great music. We each pick our top 5 (but not Pernell) and dance, sing, and talk about superstar-sports-athlete Bo Jackson!
Thank you everyone for your support over the past year. Creating this show has been more fun than we expected, so get ready for a whole new year of Rhythm and Pixels!

The show gets a few upgrades and add-ons this week with our focus on the TurboGrafx CD systems! Last week we looked at classic TurboGrafx 16 music, but this week is music in the classic CD audio format Redbook. It gets a little jazzy, a little funky, and then a little crazy with that Riot Zone track. I’m still not sure what’s going on there.
