This week we take a second look at music composed specifically for world maps in games. We are honored to have a musical guest joining us, Amanda Lepre from the band Descendants of Erdrick! She brings her vast musical knowledge and love of fantasy RPG’s to the conversation. We discuss how important it is for world map music to create the mood, emotionally setting up the player for a new section of the game. We also share our gaming guilty pleasures, each of us judging Pernell. 🙂
Amanda Lepre is a guitarist and vocalist of Descendants of Erdrick. Descendants of Erdrick is progressive-metal band that creates beautiful and epic arrangements of classic RPG video game music.
